In American English, “tomboy” refers to a girl who looks and/or acts boyish. Ditto in the Philippines. The added twist is that usually the implication is that the tomboy is also a l#sbian. There’s even a talent competition called That’s My Tomboy on the local variety show “It’s Showtime.”
