Robert Ng is the oldest son of Ng Teng Fong, the Singaporean real estate billionaire. He has been the chairman of the property development conglomerate Sino Group, based in Hong Kong, since 1981.
Besides being the chairman of Sino Group, Ng also became the chairman of Yeo Hiap Seng (YHS) in 1995.  He increased his stake in the Singaporean food and beverage company to 24.9% (just below the 25% limit), and purchased over 85% of its stock. Can you say “hostile takeover”?
